Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
i think you have measured wrong there mate.Originally posted by simon
After 4 sessions in the gym, according to my scales I have put on 6lbs. Not sure if that's even possible. I think I may have measured my initial weight incorrectly.
I weighed myself after a huge **** before breakfast :cheer:Originally posted by Warboss Alex
Ehhh.. you can put that kind of muscular weight on in a couple of weeks or even less (with diet and training in check), but remember some of it will be water weight thanks to increased food intake (carbs retain water, you should be drinking a couple of gallons of water a day to help with protein absorption); weigh yourself first thing in the morning after going to the toilet, that's your real weight.
In any case though, congratulations, and keep it up bro!
I've seen people put on like 20lbs in a month .. that's 5lbs a week, though admittedly a little was fat (not much though).
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

ha, no problem, that sounded well sarcastic but wasn't meaning to be.Originally posted by Warboss Alex
Um.. sorry mate, didn't mean to undermine your intelligence or anything.
I'm just saying that weight fluctuates quite crazily, but it's possible to put on large amounts of muscle in a short time..
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.

I'm still learning too mate.
I bet even old Arnie is ..
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
2. It's nutritional knowledge and an opinion on bulking and cutting; you'll find plenty of trainers out there with similar opinions. It's worded similarly because his post inspired me.(References: DC training)
