"I'm proud of you." Say this only when you really mean it and your girl actually does something worthy of praise.
"I can't believe you are mine." Say this ONLY if she also thinks she is lucky as well.
"You're right: I'm wrong." Say this ONLY when she is really right... say it once and do not grovel.
"You can do it, baby." Say this only if she supports you as well.
"I don't know where this extra cat came from, but she fits in great and needs lots of friends." Never say this.

If she did something worthy of being proud of, promotion, new job, amazing bj, etc. Nothing wrong with saying I'm proud of her.

2 and 3 are definitely off. Telling someone you're genuinely proud of them and admire them for it, isn't much of a bad thing. At least for us.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I agree. Bullet point 1 is perfectly acceptable in a LTR.
