"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Do you find Red Headed Women are consistently more difficult?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I dunno, I’ve met plenty of brunettes that would make redheads seem easy to deal with. Blondes have always been nicest towards me though for whatever reason. Stay away from those multi-colored hair women though.

Redheads are firey. My sister is a redhead and she was a pain in the ass for years until she mellowed out.

You do have to bear in mind that gingers get the thick end of the stick when it comes to being singled out in school/life to be the butt of jokes. It develops a thicker skin, but not all people can handle it and those are the ones that develop the nasty habits.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I just love redheads. I've never met one that I'd consider as a good LTR candidate though. Not because they're bossy, necessarily (although some are). I just think the attractive ones are too spoiled from attention, because true redheads are relatively rare.

Gingers are usually smart, due to genetics. Scottish people were fvcking smart. At one point in time, at least.

So yeah, you'll catch more sh1t from a red head, but it's the kind of sh1t you want to catch...

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

No. It’s an act. Like wearing a uniform or a suit. Posture is much better in a dress uniform.

Advice from the old lady:

I don’t think being a redhead necessarily means more difficult. In my experience redheads are striking because they are unusual and therefore they stand out in the sense that people notice them.

Both my best girlfriends from university (who I remain close to) are pronounced redheads and both are gorgeous women.

One has gone largely gray now but in her youth had bright orange hair and dark brown eyes and porcelain skin. Dark brown eyes are particularly rare on a redhead and so it’s an especially unique combination. This woman is whip smart, sensible and laid back in addition to being beautiful. She’s been happily married since after grad school. I’d never consider her difficult and her husband (a high ranking military officer) adores her but leads that marriage without a doubt.

My other very close college girlfriend is a very pretty, very intelligent green eyed red head who married a pastor 7 years her junior. She too defers to her husband’s leadership and is happily married.

Both of these women had many options in the man department and both are in solid lasting marriages that are doing well many years and many kids in.

I’m myself more a strawberry blond, but I had decidedly red hair when I was born. It became more golden or straw colored after that but still has a reddish/coppery cast.

Typically in relationships men have found me sensible and easy going, but unwilling to put up with undue BS. I am not afraid of conflict. I am drawn to masculine men who are leaders. But I think that has more to do with who my father was and nothing to do with hair color.

It’s always interesting conjecture. In medicine we hear anecdotal stories that redheads require more anesthesia and/or more pain medication than other phenotypes but whether any legitimate clinical studies or peer reviewed research has examined the question I don’t know.

I think they get noticed more so people remember them.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
