Yep @Tictac ... I realize that there is no cure for insanity... In fact, he is just doing this to make himself feel better. What little shreds of self-esteem he actually has. All our telling him he looks good is not going to help him. All the surgeries in the world would not help him. Even if he looked like Brad Pitt he would not realize the truth.
In fact, like many who are ill like this I doubt he will ever actually see the truth and see past the delusion. Rarely are these people ever able to break free of it as the delusion is their reality. I understand this... I really do...

Truth is @Clueless2k16 we cannot help you here, no psychologist will be able to help you either... The only thing that will help you is yourself if you can someday hopefully see past the delusions your mind has conjured up. You are here to try to shed the pain of what you feel, to try to scrape at any semblance of hope... But you will not find it. I rarely understand people, mostly I fake it because I do not... But you I understand... Hang in there.

Moderators... I will never tell you how to do your job, this board is managed wonderfully. However, I ask for your attention to this case. I know @Clueless2k16 here is not being directly disruptive, nor is he actually trolling as he truly believes this madness. But I know that he will continue this on an on. Inundating the board with threads about his delusion to help hold whatever he has of his fragile self-esteem to get whatever shreds of gratification, which will never be enough to feed that bottomless hole of a self-esteem he has. We cannot help him here... In fact, the likelihood is that all of this will do more harm to him than good. I think that having him here and him being here is detrimental to both himself and this forum...

Take that into consideration... I do this because it is right.

Jaw surgery (Maxilo Mandibular Advancement) -- was for treatment of severe sleep apnea.

Rhino/Septoplasty -- crooked nose / breathing problems

Strabismus surgery - self explaining

only the otoplasty and canthopexies for the lifting of the eyes were cosmetic

@marmel75 BDD is not associated with destructive tendencies other than self-destructive (high suicide rate and high degree of self harm not even counting the surgeries and such they do to themselves). I met so many cases in the behavioral hospital... But never one of these. It is not like it is a rare condition... But it must not be something they do not feel warrants admittance into a behavioral hospital. I am sure his time in this forum will be limited, and that he will either leave once we stop giving him scraps to feed his empty self-esteem or banned. But I will be sad to see it go... Come to PsychCentral if you want Clueless... People there would at least be better equipped to handle you. And there I will be sure to pick your thoughts more.
