I can write a 19 paragraph essay on this topic, but I'd rather keep it consice and to the point. Out of every internet/LDR that I have ever attempted to make happen, 100% of them failed due to distance and the other person lying. The truth is you do NOT know who you are talking to on the other end.

Take it from someone who's been Catfished twice. Do not pursue this relationship, you will be disappointed. I know it's a tough pill, but I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that face to face, human to human is the ONLY way 2 people should start a romantic relationship. Good luck.

That's why you let the other person put in the work. If they put in the effort to come to you then you know they're probably legit and if not you lose nothing. However, yes there are alot of freaks online and its generally better to start things off in person.
