I'd like to give everyone some basic FACTS going in:

1) 95% of all women in porn make the same rates (which vary slightly by region)

+/- 200 for a BJ scene, +100 for swallowing, +100 for every additional guy

+/- 600 for a Girl/Girl lesbian scene, +100 for more than 2 additional girls.

+/- 800 for a Boy/Girl penetration scene, +100 per additional guy, no additional payment for additional girls

+/- 1100 for B/G (as above) including anal sex.

Guys get paid between $400-800 / scene, depending on their reliability and market-value.

2) EVERYONE in the adult film business in North America (who has sex with anyone else in the industry) gets a full-spectrul MONTHLY TEST for STDs and has it posted online for everyone else in the trade to examine. Visit www.Aim-Med.org has details.

3) Porno sex is just about the SAFEST SEX THERE IS, since when no-one has anything, no one can transmit anything. Q.E.D.
These people are all PROFESSIONALS and they all know their livelihood depends on their being responsible for themselves (and everyone they care about in the biz!) and they don't need to take chances. If they are having sex with Civilians, they use condoms AT LEAST.

4) Pornstars are NOT paid to have sex - they are paid to perform on camera, and make a good show for the audience. (In fact, the reason porn can be shot in California LEGALLY, where prostitution is criminal, is because they are viewed as Performance Artists.)

This involves SOME of the elements of sex, to be certain, but it is MUCH MUCH MUCH more difficult. (Take it from me, I'm a 15 year industry veteran (NSFW!))

5) For every 1000 guys who actively WANT to do porn (ie, look seriously into it/contact agencies/contact producers), perhaps 5 will actually be ABLE to do it, EVEN ONCE, and MAYBE ONE actually can make a living from it.

6) It is definitely true that many women who are porn actresses were sexually abused by relatives/family friends when they were young. But there are fewer than 1000 active female porn actresses WORLD WIDE. There are probably 50 MILLION WOMEN in North America alone who were sexually abused by relatives/family friends when they were young.

It is ALSO definitely true that many women who are porn actresses were NEVER sexually abused at all.

7) People make porn because they are comfortable with (or excited by!) being naked and having sex in front of an audience, and they like the fame and money - AND they are not worried about the stigma of having worked in the porn-field (which is why so many of them are from very-poor families) OR worried about embarrassing/harming their parents (which explains why so many of the sexually-abused ones end up in the Biz).

8) Since the late 1980s, when handheld videocams became affordable, no one has had to 'work their way up' in the business. Suddenly, everyone with $25 grand was a porno producer, and demand for male talent went through the roof.

Remember, we're talking PRE-VIAGRA, so you needed ORGANICALLY to be able to GET WOOD, keep it, use it, and get off impressively ON DEMAND - while a number of other guys were watching - under hot lights, and doing generally exhausting positions.

It takes about 90 mins to shoot 12 minutes of usable screen-time, if everyone is a pro. Add even one amateur, and double it to 3 hours for 12 mins of footage.

If you CAN do the job, someone will want to hire you and pay you - no one needs to **** fat/ugly/old/midget/gay unless they want to, or want the money badly enough.
