ok, my ex did this to me...while i was driving, she was banging on at me, wouldnt let me speak or get a word in , both instances, i said your not listening to me, im not listening to you and cranked the radio up...punch!
two times this happened, months apart! first time i was almost laughing second time i stopped the car and shouted at her to get out, she didnt, i drove on, no more trouble. she has a bit of history in this department.

looking back the first time should have been enough, we broke up after another of her emtional tirades.
