The sex scene here reminds me of 'Brave New World', where people sign up beforehand for recreational sex.
Perhaps the problem is the idea of recreational sex altogether. A future sociologist may marvel at the way in which recreational sex first developed so chaotically and randomly... and then note the backlash that set in, where it was rationalized.

@BeExcellent i totally agree that all that mushy stuff is great. But how often does it happen? Women these days are more into their IG account than having a relationship. Even ones in their 30s.
