Why did BeDJ get banned?

BeDJ was a good writer. He has been a member since 2004, and he has an enormous amount of rep. I have never seen him bother anyone. Why did he suddenly get banned today?

This reminds me of Naughty Ninja: 2,497 posts, tons of rep after good posts, and then banned arbitrarily.

I really appreciate this thread. I can't post on my account because it's banned, ironically in doing so, this account will be banned as well.

Atom Smasher has a ton experience and we should all respect his decision. I stepped to far across the line in sniffing out trolls. I came back to this site a year ago and found many "repped" members who aren't credible on this forum. Instead of letting it pass, I wanted to subtly (although, not at times) warn other members how their advice is bullsh!t.

I've had members beginning to see some questionable posters on this site via PM. It's certainly good that you guys continue to do so. I'll give you my opinions on the subject matter and let you make your own opinion. You are more than welcome to PM me or BeDJ - though by the looks on how this situation was handled...I won't be frequenting here as much.

If you were referring to me on how i would handle a situation like this in a previous thread, then i believe you should have.

However the rules state that any offence or action can result in termination of your account with or without reason or warning.

Because he did the only thing that always gets the mods attention here: Question their ability/practices as mods.

That's it.

Banning people who say the mods aren't good here is more important than banning obvious trolls.

PUA-HATE and 4CHAN both think they can troll here without risk... And they are mostly right. And they make up most of the new members here.


There are in fact rules message boards can put into place that hinder trolling (you can't stop it all together). I've called for them to be put into place many times (even posted exampled of what other boards do) and have been ignored.



From a $ standpoint - I don't think there's a huge advantage for the owner of this site (who from what i've been told - has the final say in bannings) to ban trolls. Traffic is traffic; hits are hits... $ is $.
