If you are a single guy, how would you respond to it?
And does that normally mean, they are somewhat attracted to you if they ask that?
Some married chick at work asked me this earlier.
In this world where game playin and mixed signals is every woman's favorite pastime you shouldnt take too seriously what some broad comes upwith in their head to ask you. It could be a wide variety of reasons why she asked- It could be that she has some personal interest but most likely its purely innocent. She probably figures that your'e a good guy and was wondering why you dont have a woman.

If you are single, then all you have to say is that you are single, and if/when they ask you WHY, then you simply tell them that its because you choose to be. The continue to say that you are just taking your love life as it comes and when you meet someone special then you will know it, but till that time you are enjoying life for what it is.. Don't read into things so much and don't focus on the details. Take your interactions as whole. Look for the bigger picture.
So the question here is "how did she ask you?"... body language, eye contact, touching, smiling, etc.
