Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
the answer is, when ever the hell you want, aslong as you do nto call same day, the wait 3 days is really not neccisery, waiting to long is bad, next day is fineOriginally posted by bobbob
saturday and make a date for sunday, or sunday and make a date for tuesday
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
Maybe you're waiting too long to ask them out or asking them out for dates on days which they already have plans.Originally posted by bobbob
Nevermind, the answer was in the dj bible ... sunday it is!
wish me luck, last 30+ numbers have resulted in no date whatsoever
so it seems like the only diffrence between us 'highschool kids' and you is that we can think for ourselves, you think you are so clever because you know you have to wait 3 days, you know it because you saw it on the dj bible!! you never thought maybe some of the stuff is not completly correct there, you take it word for word with out thinking on your own.Originally posted by DJ_Dork
You're getting answers from teens. In high school, it's all okay and stuff because people don't have much of a life.
If I got a number on thursday, I'd call Sunday and setup a date for Tues/Wed.
I never call on Fri/Sat with someone unless the persons I am calling that same day I am planning to hang out with or an emergency/thanks for the sex call.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
