asking a girl for her number while she is at work?

I've talked to this girl a couple of times we get along pretty nice but the thing is I can only see her at her work place (its like a convenience mart/kinda like 7-eleven but with other things in it).

If i walk in, and she doesnt have many customers (shes at the register) should I ask her for her number? or is asking at work not a smart thing to do? I heard it can put her on the spot but what if you already talked a few times before and arent fresh strangers na mean?

after work she usually goes to a coffee shop with a female co-worker but i dont know her schedules so its hard finding her there.

how you take her number? simple hand over your cellphone to her and ask your number here, or since she is a waitress ask for her number she should write it down and give you, and even so don't expect much.

Repped. I either pull out my phone and say what's your number or put your number in.

As soon as you see there are no customers in there, BAM! Pull out the celly. I don't understand why you didn't ask her for her number 2 minutes into adding her on Facebook??? Why all the delay?? All you need to send is "Hey there! I don't use Facebook much, let me have your number" That's all. Once you get the digits, plan a date.
