What to say when a chic asks for a cigarette?

Last nite a chic came up to my friend and asks for a cigarette. He handed her one and of course she left. Should he have handled it like a girl asking to buy her a drink?

Very interesting question.

I usually just say no. But if she's hot, it's the perfect excuse to try and engage her.
If I can see a guy near her, I'll say: "Nah, why don't you get one off your boyfriend."
But usually, if she's attractive, it's a great ice breaker.
If she bails straight away, she's wiped. Cigarettes in Australia are as dear as fvck ($22 for a 30-pack), but if it only costs me one cigarette to weed out another ho, then that's cool. She just gets the cold shoulder if she approaches me again.
I'll also offer her my unsmoked butt or offer her a drag of my already lit cigarette but rarely a whole cigarette.

Still, if you take a girl outside for a smoke, it's a good way to separate her from the herd and work your magic on her.

Lol, how times have changed! Cigarettes used to be so cheap it was nothing to bum one to a stranger. Now it's a major financial life decision to smoke. To the point where giving out a cigarette is compared to buying a girl a drink. What a hoot.

I'm glad I quit smoking before they got so expensive.

Thats a good idea about getting her outside instead of giving to her right then you could get her to follow you out before you gave her a cigarette.

Personally I wouldn't think much of it. If she wanted one and I had one spare then I'd just give it to her.

If the girl's interested in talking then she'll usually hang around and make it obvious.

No kidding... One time a dude asked me for a cig.. i joked around and said, "It'll cost ya"

and he proceeded to dig out $0.25 from his pockets.

Had to tell him twice I was just joking.
