I've studied two years of my computer science degree out of the three years many years ago.

I applied for software developer, computer programmer jobs back in 2018. Had a few phone interviews. I then stopped.

Ever since then, I'm working in a public facing role, in customer service.

However, there is no career or pay progression or progression out of it, henceforth I am looking to change.

I'll have GitHub projects.

I'll be applying for software developer, computer programmer, cloud computing, computing jobs. Also applying for jobs in data science, data analysis, AI. If I do not get these jobs, I will apply for jobs in:

Admin..

I'll also be applying for various co ordinator jobs. Logistics, supply chain, operations, transport, office, import, exports etc.

Then move jobs after experience or move up internally.

Due to competency in programming, I can get into masters in Artificial intelligence degree.

I'm 37, my father has given me his big detached house.

I have known a few minimum wage recycling workers, recycling team leaders to get nice partners, some of them educated. Recycling supervisors.

Moreover a coach driver worker too who obtained a nice partner.

The workers at my company have partners who work who share the mortgage payment, bill payments.

I do not know what's possible. Or what my SMV is now

Your recent job experience is not showing that you can do the jobs you're after. Doing projects and putting that on your resume helps a little bit but you are going to look less qualified compared to other candidates for the jobs you're applying to.

What exactly are you trying to do? Imagine what you want your life to be like in detail.

I think, based on what I read here, that you are going to have to find another way to get to where you are going. Employers are not going to take you as seriously as you want them to.

I'm 37, my father gave me his big detached house.
Don't think this isn't enough.
This is a big part!

Many people, including me, are in your same situation, friend, but they don't have a paid-for house and have bills to pay.

If I can advise you one thing, live alone in that house for at least a year.
Figure out what your fixed expenses are each month.

From that, figure out which jobs in your field would currently pay you to support yourself and save 50%.

Then, from there, study and get the position.

Your SMV is the same as mine, except you have a house, so it's higher :)

Think about your SMV not just in the eyes of women, but also in the eyes of what your life requires.
A roof and a monthly income.

I could always do a masters degree in Artificial intelligence(an individual can get accepted if they are competent in programming). Which could open doors and I have read of people with a degree in history, geography who got jobs in retail banking being a product manager, finance, a job in projects.

There are a lot of entry level AI jobs.

So a masters degree could open up doors in other fields too.

It is an 18 month endeavour.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

All I can tell from OP is that you don't appear to be a target for gold diggers. Other than that, your SMV depends on your looks (how fit and energetic you are, how you carry yourself), your mindset and maturity level.

I think a high income is important for practical aspects as far as raising a family is concerned. But it shouldn't affect your SMV ... in other words, let's say you get a job in AI (nebulous term, like working in finance) and that's what a prospective date knows about you in the beginning. If she then dumps you upon finding out you're making way less than she imagined, then it's clear she wasn't interested in you for you, but in your bank account. Some would say in that situation your SMV wasn't high enough but I say that's BS. Why would you want a relationship with a woman like that, who's just looking for a sap to be a provider for her?

I know someone who transitioned from automotive engineering to computer science.

He has a wife and three kids.

Undertook a masters in computer science at aged 37, completed at 39. Had a few interns.

Got a full time developer job at aged 40 or 41.

Another individual who studied a degree in advertising who got a job as a logistics co ordinator.

The Era of the 9-5 is drawing to a close

A.I and outsourcing to 3rd world countries is finishing off white collar , and as soon as robots are capable of doing blue collar labour then that will go too

Within the next decade humans are going to need to figure out a way to live beyond working pointless jobs for worthless money

its already starting now

Just taking the information you provided, your detached house, your education, and your occupation, you can clearly hook up with one-night stands due to logistics, and you have the potential to attract partners who want to settle down and maybe raise a family.

However, you will eventually run into issues in the relationship because of your low income, limited career progression, and the fact that you still have to complete your education, all of which will reduce your dating pool. Your potential partners may fall into categories such as women who are financially stable but have mental health issues or past traumas, or women who, like yourself, are still works in progress and have not yet achieved financial stability or established their careers.

I know someone who left school, with no qualifications in reality, certainly no degree. Went on to work in a shop after leaving school, then got himself a business support job. From then on he has worked in operations, procurement, account management, project co ordinator.

Another individual with no qualifications who's first job was a logistics co ordinator and from then on went on to establish a very good career moving from one organisation to another working different jobs.

I'm slightly late, it can be done career wise.

A potential remedy is to go for a simple female, which isn't a bad idea.
