No, I am not a Catholic, and if I was going to choose, I would choose Protestant all day over Catholicism. I don't hate much but the Catholic church is up there, sorry if that offends. There are undoubtedly some excellent Catholic people in the world.

Perhaps it's prejudice. I'm English and the word "Catholic" conjures up an image of a fat, drunk Irish priest with a glint in his eye, ushering a child into a back room
