Paying for a date may sound "beta" but women do qualify men as per their generosity and these days there are so many red pillers without money around among younger guys, that you may be perceived like some unicorn, I think you are also able to pick up more attractive females this way (because it matters less if you are a chad during wine&date game, you get a lot of time to present yourself in positive light). I would not try to enter LTR with female younger than 10 years (due to divorce risk) but I have already made this point in the past.
