I'll be going to a cabin today for the weekend with a bunch of coworkers. Wife is staying home with the kids.
Because of that we moved it all to last Monday because it's the only day this week we had time together for it.
Anyways, on Monday I cooked a nice meal for us, we had a couple glasses of wine, I gave her Lego roses, we spent some time building it together and went to fvck before going to sleep.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Paid for going to the cabin? No, it's privately arranged by the people I work with, outside of that it doesn't really have anything to do with my workplace. We just do that sort of thing once in a while and it's of course completely voluntary. I go because the people I work with are genuinely fun to be with. We're already drinking, lightly today, but it's gonna get crazy tomorrow.

A cashier that I'm talking to in a semi-regular basis wished me a "Happy Valentine's Day", and I said the same thing back to her. I cancelled all Valentine's Day themed ASMR videos/romantic pop music allowances (that happened earlier in the day) as a result of that since a meaningful interaction with a real girl invalidates any copes. Copes such as ASMRS and romantic pop music videos should only be used when there is no meaningful interactions with the opposite sex.
That being said, I did buy a bouquet of flowers for mom. Dad is unable to go out of the home on his own for the time being. I gave the flowers to dad for him to give to mom as a Happy Valentine's Day present. Mom was overjoyed with the flowers and thanked me continually throughout the day and even today for those flowers. (I guess it morphed into a Mother's Day, lol) But as they say, women are replacable, but mothers are not. You only have one mother.
