Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I'd be perfectly willing to do all of those 8 things for a girl provided that she:
1. Cooks for me
2. Cleans my condo
3. Irons my shirts
4. Doesn't try to express an opinion on politics and other manly subjects
5. Defers to me on all important decisions
6. Always wears a skirt and high heels when we go out (no jeans and flats/running shoes)
7. Doesn't whine, b!tch, nag or complain
8. Knows her place
It's funny how all these women whine about chivalry being dead, yet you won't hear a peep from them about the good housewife being dead too. One goes with the other. If you want to be a modern "empowered" woman, pull the fvcking chair out yourself.

I hate to hijack this thread, but does anyone know how to clean vomit off a monitor? I just blew my cookies when I read this linked article.
I will always open a door for my girl, and will walk on the street side of the sidewalk, but that's it. Those gestures are balanced by the strong hand I always hold in my relationships in all other areas.
I regard them as little "treats" that convey that I have some class, make her feel valued, but without over-doing it. They offset the very firm boundary setting that I always do in my relationships.
