A funny story involving a cellphone happened to me last week, which shows that they can have positive and negative effects (though i believe we'd be better off without them).

I was hanging out with a girl, her female roommates and a few other people.
She wanted an excuse to go upstairs with me so she says she can't find her phone.
"what's your number i'll call it?"
and i called it. she goes upstairs to look for it, and I follow, as a concerned friend just trying to help find a cellphone.

i walked into her room, closed the door and started making out with her. you know what happens next.

i don't know if she intentionally did this as a way to get me into her room or not, but it felt like it.
good move on her part.
