I haven't noticed women demanding dinner dates per se. I have noticed women more and more not wanting to go get a drink as a first date. But they seem to be young 20s that are into this mindset. Late 20s+ are still good with a drinks date for a 1st date.

Regardless, if you don't like the vibe just tell her to walk. I agree that a dinner date is a big ask for a 1st UNLESS she is going to pay for her own.

If you are single its worth following a few just to get an idea of the rhetoric and get ahead of the expectations that are being embedded

The dinner thing is not new its been around for years its just becoming more common because mid tier women are taking advice from higher tiers

The issue is its ok for an 8 or a 9 to demand dinner she likely has enough leverage in her attractiveness to get men to comply

A 6 or a 7 doesn't really have the same bargaining power and a lot of guys won't be prepared to over invest which will cause yet more friction and problems for online dating and swipe apps

not even if she is a perfect 10+ I do not think it makes too much sense a dinner date, because mainly you do not know if it is going to go well or not

would be weird to actually realize that the date does not go well, but you still have to stay another 30-60 minutes more to finish whatever you ordered. For both of you

And that if her future partner would do unnatural things, I also expect that my future partner will not put me through things that are a big stretch and let me put my energy towards things are good for both
