If you guys have to wonder about whether or not you need to text back and how to text, I would err on the side of not responding at all. Someone who has good enough text game can always text back or text first. If you're in a place where you feel shy or uncomfortable texting back, just don't do it. Get back to her tomorrow or something. A "you too" text or something similar literally provides ZERO advantage to your situation(s).

I don't see the big deal of responding to your ex when she says Merry Christmas. Think not responding shows you are bitter and angry at her for not choosing you.

You can always respond and sleep with hot girls at the same time.

i have a ex whose bday is dec14th every year i send her an email saying happy bday. she has not responded the last two years i know she gets them i know she reads them one because i know her secondly we still keep in touch for business reasons, the thing is i do not care if she responds now is the first time i have given it any thought i do it because i think its a nice thing to do and im not a jerk what she does is what she does but she cant say i didnt keep her around because i was an insensitive jerk which is exactly why she does nog respond
