I keep here about all these success people are having on tinder. My first experience didn't go so well. ( all I got was fake profile trying to get me to join a site and girls that didn't respond.)

I feel as if it's based 100% on looks due to the face the profile bit is really small

can anyone give me some tips about it?

Here's the only tip you need. It IS based on looks so have attractive pictures. It's as simple as that.

EDIT TO POST BELOW: There's nothing more. It's just purely looks. Most people don't even fill out the short profile and even if they do, it's pointless trivial stuff. It's purely looks.

Chatting with girls there isn't even hard either. I mean for you to chat with them, you both have to "like" each other. The girl has basically said, "Hey, I think you're really cute and I like you". What more green light do you need besides that?

No there isn't that's why people like it.

That said I haven't been getting any matches but I wasn't clearly smiling in my picture so I've replaced it with one where I am. That should help.
