You can't control who shows up where. What you should have been doing was carefully noting her reaction to the exchange. Was she touching you or standing away when you when the interaction occurred. What was her facial expression during the greeting. The little things... to see if she is really on your team. Did she touch him. Did she laugh at his jokes.
I never talk about exes with my lady friends. I simply don't want to know. I don't look it up on their Facebook or do I ask about. I'm not interested. I change the subject when it comes up so eventually she'll know that this is something I'm not interested in discussing ever.
She's with you because she wants a fresh start. What happened in the past doesn't matter. She should be contantly pursuing you.

Jealousy has little place in a relationship, this wasn't jealousy. As I have stated previously I have absolutely no issue with the dude being there.
I was conflicted because this wasn't a situation where I would normally be p!ssed, yet I had to be p!ssed as I had set up the boundary of her 'Being up front'.
The ramifications of not following through with some form of punishment would have been dire.
