Probably because us fit bodied guys are viewed as "narcissistic," "self-centered," etc etc. Also, less likely to have a personality because we focus our energy on the superficial things. On the contrary, the guys with dad bods are not too concerned with how they look and have a tendency to have more to offer in regards of personality. That's typically the stereotype that's dawned on these type of guys by society.

However, as you may know, you cannot place everyone in a category because of past experiences or sheepish ways.

Standard hypergamy... a girl will sneak sex with Chad anytime she can. Pretty extreme example. Not many real Chads to go around the female population. And plenty of guys like me who have what I would call the dad bod Plus. I.e. carrying a bit of weight but are muscular and fit as well. Long weekend here I played 3 hours of badminton plus weights on Saturday 3 hours of tennis on Sunday and have done two days yard work since. Not at the standard of an ESPI but obviously still useful.

This makes sense! IT is a matter of finding that balance between focusing on your looks (feminine) versus still presenting the masculine frame. This is why while it is important to get in shape, eat healthy, and take care of your appearance, but don't make it your focus on life.

Probably trips girls up when guys are really fit, then intelligent and well-spoken too. This is the place I hope to get to once I get in shape...
