This may be the smartest thing I've ever read on here.squirrels said:F**k what SoSuave thinks.![]()
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
I thought you got divorced recently, maybe it wasn't a year ago, but according to this thread two years ago http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=164423, not to mention you were referring to her as Mrs K and your daughter as Little K until that thread.KarmaSutra said:I've been divorced since May of 2005.
Moving too fast? Hardly. I've dated more women in the last 6 years than most men will in a lifetime.
All of those experiences lent a hand in my maturation process. So did most of you. I've walked away from some really terrific women.
They weren't what I want in a long-term mate. Now I've found one. Now I've found one I appreciate enough to include in my life.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
I was divorced before I became a member here.iqqi said:I thought you got divorced recently, maybe it wasn't a year ago, but according to this thread two years ago http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=164423, not to mention you were referring to her as Mrs K and your daughter as Little K until that thread.
I am confused?
I wouldn't call that perspective, but I'd call it clarification. So Mrs K wasn't really Mrs K? Just a LTR or something? What about Lil K?KarmaSutra said:I was divorced before I became a member here.
There's some perspective for ya.
You can't divorce an LTR.iqqi said:I wouldn't call that perspective, but I'd call it clarification. So Mrs K wasn't really Mrs K? Just a LTR or something? What about Lil K?
SO Mrs K, who you referred to as Mrs K up until 2009, wasn't Mrs K? That post you made about having balls to change your life was made in 2009, dude. You are fvcking CONFUSING the hell out of me.KarmaSutra said:You can't divorce an LTR.
We were married from 2000 to May 2005. Lil K isn't mine biologically but I was the only masculine presence in her life for over 13 years.
Now, not so much. Her Mother made her make a choice between staying in contact with me or doing whateverthefvck she wants, with whomever she wants, like her Mother.
She chose the easiest of the two possibilities. It's sad but her choice to make.

You're simply confused. I have nothing to do with it.iqqi said:SO Mrs K, who you referred to as Mrs K up until 2009, wasn't Mrs K? That post you made about having balls to change your life was made in 2009, dude. You are fvcking CONFUSING the hell out of me.
I'll take that as a compliment Brother Booblicious.( . )( . ) said:Well for what it's worth, and that is nothing considering marriage today is as meaningful as pulling a booger.
Congrats?
Alright, well don't blame me for being confused. Here is another thread: http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=139181 in which you referred to her as MRS K, not ex-Mrs K, and you were always referring to her as MRS K, until that post exactly two years ago, where you said you moved on.KarmaSutra said:You're simply confused. Until a coupla' years ago we were still a familial unit. She has always been the ex-Mrs. K since I've been here.
