I haven't seen any evidence this would happen. I think that was optimistic thinking from the first 1-2 months of pandemic. Once this dragged out more than that, it made people weary. The Delta Variant didn't really hit until the 2nd half of July 2021. Early Summer 2021 wasn't a big party either.
