I'd roll with #1. Also remember that you must be comfortable with her hooking up with guys too.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
I would be fine but this could be a potentially volatile situation. Why? Well let's think about who would be going with me to senior week; Eric, Dom, DJ, Nicole, Lexy, Larry, and KEVIN. Kevin is the AFC friend of mine, the one who liked HB Esther and is also close friends with her brother, also my friend, John. So if I take HB Esther to senior week with me, we will likely f***, and when we do that news will spread like wildfire. I don't know if THAT'S a good idea. It may cost me a few friends - yet may alternatively cost me a potential f*** buddy if I don't bring her along.NorwegianDJ said:I'd roll with #1. Yeah, understood.NorwegianDJ said:Have a chat with her about why you're worried about bringing her to senior week. Also decide which friends are worth much to you. Remember that you're gonna lose quite a few of them soon when you leave for university anyway.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
Alright.LearningSlowly said:It's overrated.
But also emotional sex is much better, it actually matters.
I never go to school on my birthday. As long as my grades are good I can do whatever I want on my birthday...which in this case involves my family giving me the house to myself to have HB Katelynn over.Mindgamez said:Well done with the sex. Keep being pro!
Reading your stuff motivates me to lose my virginity. I will!
And I don't know why you should skip practice or school. School comes first man, so don't skip it only because it's your birthday.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
I know what Kegels are and have tried them before. Not that I don't like them but I don't see them as being too helpful. No science shows that it will improve any sexual functionality, and in some cases I believe it has given men ED.boyfromaus said:Instead of MBing before sex, try these exercises called 'Kegel exercises'. Google it up and give them a try.
Also a question, how do you meet most of the girls that you mention in this journal? Is it through approaching, or from school?
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Thanks man, I remember reading your posts in the motivational thread that's stickied here. Good reads, I owe part of my motivation to them.Sammo said:Keep up the good work mate,
Go back to the beginning and look at the progress you've made, i'd imagine it would be a pretty eye opening experience. I love shiit like this. This is why i've always been a fan of such journals.
Trippy especially since ill also be at UNCW this year! All though it will be as an exchange student. Exciting stuff.
No ways. We have to meet up, although I wont be in the states until August next year.Sammo said:Trippy especially since ill also be at UNCW this year! All though it will be as an exchange student. Exciting stuff.
Agreed. Better than my asian.NorwegianDJ said:That asian is CUTE.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
