Stories of being rejected with: "WTF was I thinking?" in the future?

Anyone with any stories of being rejected in the past only to later on in the future realize WTF was I thinking / seeing in that chick in the first place?

Most dudes take rejection as a blow to their self-esteem as if the chick is somehow "better" than them when in reality it's not always the case.

Anyone have any stories of being rejected only to see the chick later on or have found out more about her, or realized things later on you disregarded at the time you tried simply because she was "cool" and attractive?

Not only that.

Chicks who party (drugs, alcohol) takes it's toll eventually.

Getting comfortable in other relationships gaining weight.

Being a known attention wh0re is a turn off to any man worth his salt that isn't a pandering, needy thirsty dude.

Or even attitudes they possess that we may overlook at the time.
