Monday - okay so today got screwed royally. I've been having a bunch of good days and it's my first bad one in awhile. I'm not too happy about it. But the reasons for it not being good make sense.

My gf's cat was dying and I got stuck taking care of it with her til very late and dealing with my gf crying...really sucked but I didn't have much of a choice. Because of this I got about 3 hours sleep. Then when I got home I did my morning cardio...which i felt OVERLY tired from (just walking) I knew today's session was gonna suck. I just had zero energy but I did the best I could do.

Squats 1x20 220 lbs - 17 reps F - I knew wasn't going to make it...but I really didn't want to let down anyone so I gave my best shot. I was just too tired to overcome it today.

Pullovers 1x20

*So then I get a call from my family for a family emergency to be home. Didn't have much choice but to leave at this point. Family first, iron second haha . So I left and pretty much relaxed the rest of the night and ate my meals. I had such a good streak going...ah well. I'll say one thing, I cannot wait til wednesday!!

Hope everything's ok man... 17 x 220 for squats is still sick! My short term goal is to hit 185 x 20. Good work on those dips.

Do you ever do pistols (one leg squats)? I find they helped my 1 RM squat. They might even help with your quest for 20 x 245.

Sorry to hear about the kitty. Seems women in general are damn attached to their cats. I bet you were thinking about doing 20 rep with 2 plates the next day when you took care of the cat :p

Strong **** man, I think I got 17 reps first time as well when I was on 220 lbs so you're not alone with not getting full set :)

ANyways, its wednesday now so you're gonna go for 220 or 225?

That's true, my family's cat died last month, I was the only one who the cat actually liked and my mom and sister were devastated. Your gf will get over it fast though but I know how she feels for sure, people who don't have cats don't really understand.

How hard is it to increase the weight 5 lbs each time? I mean, not just willpower, but the fact that over the course of 6 weeks you are supposed increase your 20 rep squat by 85 pounds is crazy.

You've been gaining weight like a monster too, it seems like just yesterday that you were 207 and now you're almost at 230? You should tell this guy how it's done.:up:

yeah...my gf is just a bit nuts about the cat. She spent 2 grand (she's a struggling college student) in the last two months to keep the diabetic cat alive. The cat was put to sleep last night so the nightmare is over and now I can sleep. My family has owned animals our whole lives. So I understand, but it just got ridiculous...and btw my training was interupted cause of my sister announced she was pregnant by some random illegal alien she had casual sex with. My mom called me home as if it couldn't wait 30 minutes...sigh...anyways. That's dirrrty jersey for ya.

I really appreciate all the support from all of you! ...It's been grueling. And I'm often sweating profusely and limping around the gym. I've got to talk to EFFORT about tomorrow as I'm not sure if I should go ahead and increase it another 5 pounds (i'd love having two plates)

Fugly - haven't done pistol squats. i know yungahdubz on here does and really likes it. I've read Stronglifts talking about it. For the moment i'm just following the outline for the routine EFFORT gave me. I'm doing DC afterwards (i don't know if that will be in there) with extremely strict carbs and cardio to get me down to 12%bodyfat....I'm VERY excited for that...and deadlift again. I feel like my max has gone up quite a bit since I did 430 lbs (3 months ago)

Jahidi - Increasing the weight each time is brutal towards the end of the 6 weeks. I remembering failing at 185 only 4-5 weeks ago. So each day I come in, it's pushing to the limit.....btw, I'd hate to talk to someone as ignorant as that guy. Whether he wants it or not, his videos will influence others to participate in illegal activies and could result in someone getting seriously hurt or ill, ESPECIALLY if they are not properly eduacated on steriods. I hope that guy fails miserably.

Life events are always more important don't worry. Do the 220 again get the 3 more reps and move up to 225 on friday.

WEDNESDAY - I happy to inform you guys but for some odd reason today, my calves started feeling better (as well as my upper back which I hadn't mentioned till now). It was much easier to squat today and I wasn't limping around the gym too much. Still hurts a bit though.

1x20 Squats --1x20 PR 220 lbs - Because of my calve feeling better (and the ton of sleep I got) this was tough but not too bad. I nailed it good with maybe my last rep only a little below parallel. I came in and got it done. No problem.

DB Pullovers
1x20 - 30 lbs

Super set 3x ==all were to failure

Dips /bw\
1x15 1x12 1x8 - 35 reps - not a pr, was surprised I didn't do better on the last set. I've got to say though, my chest has gotten a lot bigger since I started this 5 weeks ago. Good stuff

Pullups /bw\
1x4 1x4 1x4 - 12 reps - ehhhhhhhh...there is always Friday y'know? I think my technique was a bit off today.

Decline situps - 50 lb dumbbell
1x22 1x21 1x23 - 66 reps --not too shabby.

-had a decent day, what is most important to me is that I got all my squats. Monday pretty much bummed me out. This was a real uplifter for friday when I get the two plates on.

Nice to hear stuff is getting a little better. Seems like everything bad just build up then pile on you all at once... always :down: Too bad about your sis, you seem to handle it pretty well though. Hope she's not too young.

On the positive note, good job hitting the full reps mate. Keeping fingers crossed for you for friday.

Remember if you have put on quite a bit of weight those pullups will be harder.

Don't worry Reborn, she's 29. Just getting child support is going to be a problem obviously due to him being illegal. It sucks the kid is going to know they were an accident but ah well...it's still a blessing and my sister's party life should have ended long ago. I appreciate the support. I'm doing the best I can with this. It's certainly not easy. Next to when I played football in highschool, the hardest routine I've ever done.

1x20 Squats --1x20 PR 225 - Hardest workout yet that I've completed. I'm very happy it's over. Hopefully by Monday I'll have more strength so I can do 230. I'm a bit nervous about it. But I got all the reps today, with a horrific struggle with the last two.

1x10 1x15 1x11 - 37 reps - Was pretty sore today. The first set was wayyy harder than the second for some odd reason. But I bounced back with a good amount of reps today. 2 shy of a PR

Pullups /bw\
1x7 1x5 1x5 - 17 reps - PR Felt great on the pullups for some odd reason.

Decline situps - 50 lb dumbbell
1x20 1x22 1x30 - 72 reps --PR

I feel like the calf is healing up a bit. Still hurts but not nearly as bad as last week. Next week will be nice as I only workout twice. But it will also be the most gruelling of all the sessions. I just hope I can get 235 lbs...which btw I will do my best for a video of it. Til next time gents :up:

Good job, you keep hitting the 20 repers every workout. Not many people in the world who have balls to do this routine.

Thanks guys as usual, has hard as it's been I highly recommend it if you want a challenge. Shaunuk, I've never done 40 reps and i never want to try it. But by all means...go for it and show up this lazy OP.

Btw Quag I talked it over with EFFORT and we decided to put off max training for awhile as there really isn't any reason to do it at this moment. I know I can't hit 400 lb squat yet so waiting isn't a big deal to me. And the last thing i want to do is get hurt. I just want to start taking off this fat so I can see my gains a little clearer now. It's almost DC time baby ;)

2 more sessions left.

TUESDAY-

Not such a great day...I'm feeling exhaustion towards the end of this vicious 6-week cycle.

1x20 Squats --1x16 1x4 230 lbs F - Just too heavy today. I didn't want to to leave with just 16 reps so I waited 5 minutes and finished up. Disgusting...I just didn't have it in me today.

DB Pullovers
1x20 - 30 lbs

Super set 3x ==all were to failure

Dips /bw\
1x5 1x8 1x11 - 23 reps - Just not feeling it...def not full effort.

Pullups /bw\
1x5 1x4 1x3 - 12 reps ...

Decline situps - 50 lb dumbbell
1x20 1x22 1x23 - 65 reps

I guess we all have one of these days where everything just doesn't seem to be working out. I've got one more day to prove I can do this at 230 lbs again. I'll do my best to get a video.
