Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

So being a ladies man and having options is attractive, but when a girl is trying to lock you down, she gets jealous. Go figure.

I think, maybe we just broke up (testing, most likely), lol!!!

Oh, the joys of unofficial relationships.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Just shrug your shoulders and replace her. No big deal.

Wish it was that easy. We have history. Will spin a few plates, though.

Therein lies the paradox/neurosis of a woman's "love". Women want the man with options (or the ability to generate them), and then they want to cut off his having options.

Do not compromise your game.

All relationships are time-limited.

If she ditches you because you won't commit/sacrifice yourself for her security, then so be it.
Thanks, indifference, yet again! So, glad things never became "official".

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

What does that mean and why does it matter?
That means, she's put me thru stuff like this before. If I walk away, she usually starts stalking me after a month or so. She doesn't know how to communicate what she wants. Its been around 14 months. We have a deep connection, being both introverts.

Sure wish this lady would talk. The deer in headlights is all I get, if she tries to approach me. She has shown confidence at times, but its rare.

I can say, I'm not happy with the situation... buy psycho... I think you don't know introverts. Try a library or a bookstore. Oh, and don't bother them, they're busy being awesome.

I WAS an introvert until I got a job in retail and was forced to talk to people all day every day and became very comfortable with it. I'm still somewhat introverted, there are times I'd rather be alone than hanging out with others or being social. So I'd say I'm pretty familiar with them.

If you want to be more extroverted you can be with enough practice and desire, but you have to make that decision and actively work at it.

I view that as an excuse because you are unwilling to push yourself out of your comfort zone

Typical extrovert response.

Introversion/Extroversion is about psychological energy. Shyness is something else.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

No that's bullish!t, sorry.

You will always trend towards one or tthe other but you can definitely actively become more extroverted if you wanted to. I know, I did it.

No, you were just shy.

Introverts get psychlogical energy being away from people. Example: Thinking and reading. We recharge by using our brains and spending time alone in silence.

Extroverts gain energy by being around people. Socializing etc.

These are personality traits that makup who a person is. How they are wired. It would be easier to change your fingerprint.

But yes, a person can learn to be outgoing, if that's what you mean.

the good thing about having side girls is that you don't give a **** when you lose one

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

She was my main chick... we were crazy about each other. She got jealous and ended it. Still not giving a sh!t because... at the end of the day...it's meant to be, or it's not. Odds are, she'll be back... But I'm not waiting around. Way too many hotties around here.

No, I wasn't shy I was/am introverted. I STILL get energy from doing that, and many times prefer that. Like sitting down and programming, or taking online classes or doing something that exercises my brain, or simply being alone. I mean I am part of the American Mensa after all, I fit the profile rather well.

I don't always enjoy being around a lot of people but I have learned to manage it better. The same way you can use your intelligence to learn a skill or exercise your brain, you can use your intelligence to figure out how to become more extroverted and function in that environment. And I think that's the takeaway---I am STILL introverted but have figured out how to function better in that environment and be more outgoing and talkative with people, although if I don't know many people I still tend to kind of keep to myself.

I'm pretty sure I know what I am personality wise a lot better than you, so you can cut the psychoanalyzing rubbish you are trying to offer me. If we are talking about Myers-Briggs personality types I am an INTJ for the record over multiple tests taken in a 10-12 year period, meaning it's pretty conclusive.

INTJ here also...

The rubbish/psychoanalyzing you're on about, is symantics. Forget about it.

Good to meet you :)
