I learned about this movie yesterday; odd that you should bring it up. It looks awesome - apparently in one scene he asks a group of feminists if "women should be allowed to do the same things as men". When they answer yes, he asks why, because "it has been scientifically proven that women have brains that are the same size as squirrel brains". They (understandably) get homicidally upset, to which he responds "It is true! The prime minister of kazakastan has declared it so!"

Another reason for watching it (that I found on the netflix user review section on the movie):
When he stated that a criminal lawyer was on staff during the filming, and not a single day of shooting went by without the police being called, I knew we were in for a treat.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the DVD release.

I've seen it twice at pre-screening. It is the funniest yet most ridiculous movie ever. There is going to be such a public outrage once it comes out. I've been following Sacha since his Channel 4 days in the UK, and this movie shocked the hell out of me. 10x everything in Jackass Two. Doc approved, see this movie; it's a great theatre-going experience.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I think the funniest thing is when he walks next to a woman, checks her out and suddenly says: "Hmm, very nice. How much???"

Looking forward to it!!

Does anyone else remember Sasha's debut as Ali G on the 11 O'Clock Show? It also had a regular spot by Ricky Gervais, and was co-hosted by McKenzie Crook (Gareth from The Office). They've come a LOONG way since then. It seems like they've all done their best to cover it up as it was a really sh!t show!

apparantly FOX decided to be jackasses and cut the number of theaters down from 2000 to 700 about, thinking nobody knew about the movie. are they retarded? it's been publicised like hell...

they are probably just scared of showing the movie because of how controversial the movie will be.

I heard about the movie in early July on the movie previews of "Miami Vice." Their idea is bullsh!t.

Borat Movie

I know it's not out yet (comes out tomorrow), but I seriously can't wait. It's not a DJ movie, sure, but I've watched all the trailers and deleted scenes on youtube, and this guy is unbelievably hilarious.

I'm probably going to end up going to it alone because most people I know think Ali G / Borat is stupid and find too many things wrong with it to find it funny. I guess some people just take some stuff too seriously.

I honestly didn't know Kazakstan was really a country before I they got angry at the whole Borat thing. Now they're doing commercials on CNN to show how much of a nice country they really are. I think the fact that they're making such a big deal of it is backfiring and makes them even funnier as a people/country.

Anyway, I'll post a short review after I see it tomorrow. :D

Here's some of the youtube deleted scenes / trailers by the way: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JFVN59sR4lY...this one's funnier though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvQScRuZj9s&NR

MOST HILARIOUS MOVIE THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

The hotel scene is the best and it is the most anti-semetic film that I have ever seen (do not hijack).

Definately worth your money.
