"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

be that nice guy again after you get married?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

You should always be nice. Just not a pushover. Don't be nice to get people to like you. Be nice because you are. And if you find yourself in a situation where you shouldn't be nice..then don't be!
Don't accept everything. Draw some lines. Have some rules. But remember that a DJ is always a gentleman, and he does nice things. But never to be liked. That's the difference.

I think "nice guy" is the wrong term to use..."pushover" is much better. It's people that are eager to please others that are lame and annoying. Even I don't like that...I'd much rather prefer someone who has the balls to tell me what they think even if they disagree.

I've misunderstood this too...and I was a jerk to girls when I talked to them and I just ended up coming off as rude...and they would leave. Although, in two cases it worked and the girl was into me.

I'll credit Metal Fortress for pointing out that all this sosuave terminology is destroying how we communicate words. A nice person is not a pushover/please love me character. It's someone who does good because they want to do good things.

In regards to the thread, it's not that I TRY to be a jerk so to speak. I never try to tear others apart or look for a fight with my insults......It's about truly enjoying busting balls because it lightens the mood. It's an informal way of communication that makes you feel like you're talking to a friend rather than a stranger. So in this respect, I'll only stop being a jerk when I become so serious about life that I just wanna stick to the normal routine way of dealing with people. I guess routine becomes an important part of marriage so being a jerk just seems to naturally fade.

Until then, DJ til I die.
