"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

There is this girl who I used to work with last summer, she's very hot and she KNOWS it (she's also younger, 20).

We also had a very flirty relationship, but nothing ever happened.

Then she hit me up this summer, end of August, we got together had some drinks and had a fun time.

We made vague plans to hang out again, but she doesn't contact me I don't contact her, I for one starting escalating in a casual relationship with another girl, which just ended last Thursday.

So I wasted no time - on Friday I saw it was this first girl's bday on FB, I sent her text, saying Happy birthday, lets go celebrate.

She says "I'm outta town until Saturday but we should definitely celebrate"

I say Karoake next week (which we both like)
She says, "maybe Tuesday?"
I say, Tuesday should work for me gotta make sure I'm not working.

Hit her up last night (monday) saying what is better for you Tuesday or Thursday.
She replies this morning:
"I'm sick as a dog right now, haven't gotten up in like 15hrs.."

I figure if she's feeling better by Thursday, we should go out. But I'm hesitate to suggest that or anything and maybe should just wait to see if makes a plan and if not forget her.

What would you do?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Just text back "Hope you feel better soon, see you when you're good"
Then put her out of your mind and work on other girls.

Yup, the balls in her court, let her call back. Until then, do as the others say and move forward in your journey of conquering other women.

I wouldn't ask her out again unless she brings it up. She knows you want to go out since you keep asking her. Being pushy will get you more sick excuses.
