Had a first date with this girl I've known for a while...I went in to hug her as we greeted..and she turned her body to one side so we huged with our hips side by side...(yeah really weird). Kinda threw me off my game for a bit but I tried to recover and save face.

She emails me the next day...and we're going out again soon....

Why would she want to go out again if she's not even comfortable with a normal hug?....Am I toast here?

I think you're reading too much into it too. She's not ready for a full body contact hug. But, she's cool with you being in each others space. And, she wants to go out again.. so what's the problem? You're being treated fine, and it's progressing.

I generally agree with the others. You don't have to fuvk or kiss a girl during the first time you meet her for it to go anywhere. Just build the tension up slowly and if she is attracted, it will all fall together as she gets comfortable.

Except this time around, hang out with her like you would with a buddy. She probably saw you trying to get intimate and stuff but she threw a wrench in the mix, now it's your turn.

I'd totally give her a side-hug too next time u guys hug... and poke fun at it... be like "oh, I thought the side-hug was your speciality"...just be goofy/funny, etc, and she'll probably enjoy it and feel more comfy with you.

Ya and I think these guys are right about you over-analyzing...just get out there and have FUN!

I don't know. I would first consider what they did on their previous date. Specifically, how much money he spent on her.
