1) Yes, it can be. 2) Aid's over hyped? No. Neither is any of the other STD's that you could very well get/give.

I'll save the preaching. But, if yoou choose to go through with it, it's your risk to take. Just remember, you aren't the only one who runs the risk of getting something nasty. This could very well screw things up for you / any relationship you'll have. Just fair warning.
