It’s irrelevant what you think of CNN, the news was in multiple euro outlets including RT.

I do find it peculiar that folks dismiss news outlets that don’t align with their world view, labeling it fake, but hey to each their own.

I just look at multiple outlets across the spectrum and draw my own conclusions. But some would rather have the "fake news" confirmation bias than think critically.

Knowing many Russians personally, I can tell you the mood amongst the public there was completely calm. They almost had an air of nonchalance about the whole thing.

I'm one hundred percent certain these actions will not go unpunished, but, Russia have also used this to their advantage as Wagner/their extended arm of influence now, with reason, sits ever closer to NATO in Belarus.

Attacks into Northern Ukraine can also be launched from Belarus, making counter offensives difficult from Ukraine as they wouldn't want to actively be seen to attack Belarus.

It's also not reported in the west the extend of which Ukraine is actively bombing the Donbass, and thus it's own people. Despite their officials denying it, this is the "counter offensives" you hear of.

The whole situation is a mess and it's increasingly difficult for the big powers to play smoke and mirrors with the general population because of the internet and communication being so much more available. My fear is because of this more and more drastic actions will be taken to make simple goals elaborate and multi layered.

Also the world seems to be going into a new chapter and i think no one really understands or knws how to deal with it.

It looks the days of wars, patriarchy, murder, theft, coups, dictators, etc is all coming to end.

Things are getting more and more stable and even world leaders seem to be more about being humble and humane and less egotistical quite different to tyrants and tough war leaders of the past like stalin hitler churchill.

The extreme energy of world leaders seems more calm and introspective.

I think that most ppl dont knw how to deal with new more safer world where evry1 is just more chill.

if Wagners Army was marching to Moscow 300miles away then how much easier to march 60 miles to Kiev!...At the least the Ukraine will now need to move circ 40.000 front line troops to and fortify his Byelorussian border at a time when he seems pretty desperate on his Eastern flank...Propaganda aside,The Ukraine is finished without Polish or Baltic State direct intervention....Seems like a rerun of The War of Foreign intervention where it was Latvian bayonets that saved Lenin.

The mainstream media is government propaganda at this point. They keep pretending this is a war that Ukraine can win, which without NATO military involvement, is a complete lie. The Ukrainians have lost 3 armies at this point.

The incident is a mutiny of one of the best fighting forces that russia has. And they're revolting over the fact that they were engaged by russian forces while trying to retreat and the general incompetence of the russian military. Also, these forces are mercenaries, not russian military.

This is the nature of a totalitarian system. Everyone is more interested in covering their own ass instead of actually cooperating towards a goal.

Putin knows exactly what he's doing playing the long game and watching as NATO drains all of its resources. Prigozhin knows exactly what he's doing swigging Wild Turkey 101 and hurling insults so the cavalry will cowboy the fck up.
