Possible to gain muscle mass without equipment?

I can't afford any weight equipment or gym membership. I go to high school and don't have a car. My school has a weight room but it is reserved for weights class and football. (I was stupid and didn't think about joining weights when I signed up for classes.)

Now I want to gain muscle because I am really skinny. I have been doing pushups (I can do 26-2 max) and pulls ups. I can do about 11 regular pullups and only 3 palm out pull ups. I don't really see any gain in mass though.

Everyone tells me heavy weight + low repitions = muscle mass. But I have no way of getting "heavy weight" due to my lack of access to muscle building machines.

So is there anything that I can do? Or am I ****ed? Can I do just body weight exercises? Please help!

Hate to tell you this, but you can't gain muscle without progressive resistance (weights).

Do you have access to buckets/sand/cement? You can make ghetto weights, that's how I started, lol.

But ultimately, you need access to a wide range of weights. Ask your parents for a home gym for Christmas? Save up? Get a job?

Just get a used set of weights and/or bench, the kind made of plastic (they're cheap). Check you local paper or Craigslist, you may even be able to find a set for free if you just pick them up.

Check your:

YMCA
Community college (mine had a 'fitness' class where all you do is punch in your time card whenever you would use their gym)
Appartment, friends apartments, random apartments that may have a fitness center.
Community center

Try doing track and field (short distance only), and wrestling. It won't anywhere as efficient as weight lifting, but you'll bulk up some muscel.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Without any equipment and if you can't be arsed with the 'ghetto weights' (haha), then you won't really get very far. All I can think of really is...

Pullups, wide grip and close grip. Variations of it.
Dips, by finding two things that'll support your weight... I could do them on my kitchen top if I want.

Can't think of anything else, but what's been said will do: Back, biceps, forearms, chest, triceps... practically your upper body. It might not do them particularly well, but it beats nothing.

Check out The Naked Warrior By Pavel. His website is www.dragondoor.com. He has a few other books that focus on strength. He suggests doing one legged squats(pistols), pullups and one armed pushups basically. He tells you how to work up to it so you are using progressive weight up until you can do an actual rep of the one legged or one armed pushups and then you need weight on your back, etc. Not sure its the best for mass but it'll definitely make you fitter and stronger.
