After discussion in another thread, I decided to fire off this survey to see where we are:

I'm somewhere between "be the best man I can be" and "teach others". I still enjoy reading everyone's experiences out in the field and helping them overcome their hurdles. I'm always learning things, but I have no clue what's beyond emotional fluctuation, alpha-widowing and high score theory. I keep wondering if there's anything I'm missing, but I think those three things (two if you group high score theory and alpha-widowing together) are the absolute basis for how women ultimately make decisions and behave, especially when it comes to dating and relationships.

I had a girlfriend when I came here, so I wasn't looking to learn how to get women. My interest in coming here was in being more attractive to women in general - especially since I was approaching my 49th birthday, and the prospect of turning 50 had me somewhat concerned. I had a self identity as "cool older guy", but I was afraid that was about to become simply "old guy". Turns out I got over it on my own. It was just a phase, you learn to adapt or you quit living. The truth is I just accept that there is more of that "old guy" in me.

I've stayed mainly for entertainment, because I like the board, I think the subject matter is fascinating, and I find some of the posters experiences to be motivating.

I answered the survey that Yes I'm a chick...but that isn't what brought me here.

What brought me here was searching about BPD because approximately a year after my divorce I dated a man LDR for 18 months whose ex wife was diagnosed with BPD...and the things she put him and their children through were horrific...so I stumbled in here because I found a BPD thread in an effort to learn more about the condition and about his situation and how that related to his life as I offered him emotional and moral support in a rough time.

I stayed because I like the DJ and MM community here at SS, you guys are cool...and to offer a female perspective where I think it might be useful or informative. I also like the Wealth & Success forum and like to both read and contribute there to learn and also to benefit others by what I have learned through experience.

I get that SS is a proactive male space and I respect that. I wish more of the general male population knew the maxims taught here as I think the philosophy here has value to society in general and SS is a pretty balanced/straight-up place relative to other outposts in the manosphere.

I came back after a long time because I remembered that I used to get strange info here, just stuff I'd never really thought about (mainly, I guess because we're all men, and we Create every fvckin thing (red-pilled or truth-seeking men do) on the planet and if the forum had even 20% women we'd be getting bad information or REDUNDANT information...if there was even a modicum of females here we'd have to deal with a lot of cvcks white knights that you see on other forums - I don't go to them much at all, but I can only imagine - just look at Twitch IRL cvcks there showering females with their poor as5es final red cents because "omg, she female").

How did I initially find this place? I think I went and googled something like "How do I get a girlfriend."

That isn't why I stayed though. I eventually found the Bible and half of that stuff isn't how to get a girlfriend it's how to improve yourself. It's about doing things to take control over your life. I realized that it wasn't that I needed tips on how to get a girlfriend, I needed tips on how to have a spine.

Most of the content on the site involves relationships, but at the root of it all, it's about becoming the best version of yourself. That's why I'm here.

I came here utterly clueless about women, with no idea how to deal with them. I've come a long way thanks to the gold that is available to be mined here.

My reasons have evolved. A long time ago, I google searched "how to get a girlfriend", found sosuave.com and its tips, and e-mailed the man himself, Allen Thompson, asking for advice. He told me that there was a .net forum to the .com site and I discovered the hidden world of game. Next, it went to "trying to spin plates and screw women", literally and figuratively like everyone said. And now, it's about being the best man I can be because I've finally realized that I'm not doing enough to build the life I want. I now know that the major parts of SMV & game will fall into place once I'm working hard consistently to build my castle.

Besides sharing my own experiences, I'm here for basically 2 things;

1. Business - getting more input from others here abt game (there's a correlation between game and business).

2. Decide on the future of my 5 year LTR.

I ended up not only learning more but also find myself questioning my morality and the effects I had on women that wandered into my web.

All things considered SS made me realise that I'm not always right even when I think and know I'm always right

I'm always amazed (and a little envious) when guys talk about how this place had such a large impact on their lives. I had a pretty realistic view of women when I came here, so I've never had that big transformation. Not because I'm so smart or anything, it's just because of the age I was when I got here.

I've never considered myself a pimp or a stud or anything, but outside of a bad dry spell I had in my early 20s I've always had women in my life in some form or other. You can't help but get an idea of what they are about after awhile.

I am a bit fustrated by my inability to get women, but everything else in life is going well. So, my main focus was self improvement and maybe at least learming to getr some dates/sex. Honestly, I have a hard time even making any effort into picking up women. I have seen the bs of most relationships for a long time. This forum helped me find the reasons for what I saw.
