Something that shows you read her profile or noticed details in her pics, is light-hearted or humorous, and is non-sexual in nature. Joke around with her a little, then tell her you are not on pof very much and it would be better if you had her number. Then move to texting.

I think clean is the way to go. The typical message a woman gets on a dating site is something like:

wow ur t!ts r huge! U dtf?

She might get 99 of those a day, so it sets you apart to not be that guy.

I think a slow play showing MILD interest and not getting sexual right off the bat is the way to go with OLD, FB messengers etc. Show some interest without being thirsty. Be mysterious and dont show your hand too soon.
