They aren't using the Internet, in large numbers, to create profiles on social sites and wait for your e-mail! They use it to chat with their friends, shop, download music, search for information, etc.
I.e. the cool girls that guys want may avoid using the Internet in ways that would make it easy to meet them, but that's not the same thing as avoiding the Internet.
