Keep it to in-person if you see her regularly. You really do increase your odds that way, especially if she does like you. She'll be happy to meet you by chance. Chicks love destiny and all that sh*t.

In that case I would a) keep talking to other girls and b) open this girl up on FB if you must, but hastily get it into the real world. Don't engage in long FB conversations. For Example:
PipeDope: Hey! That was you at the pub last week wasn't it? I'm thinking of kicking someone's ass at pool this Thursday. How about taking me on?
HB: lol, love heart, stupid boring reply, how are you etc
PD: I don't really use FB much so gimme your number and we'll set something up this week. ttys.
