Would it be okay if i used 2 20kg oly plates on a standard 1" barbell?

It will primarily be for deadlifting.

If the bar is a standard 20 kg or 45-lb olympic bar then its fine.

Nah, the bar is only 7.5 kg, 1", unlike an oly bar which is 2.5".

The plate would be much too big for the hole, but as it will be for deadlifitng there wont be much spinning of plates involved.
