forget this post - I didn't realize Bluelemond replied.
She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.
You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.
The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.
Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
I appreciate what you say - in fact, you may be right.Originally posted by bluelemond
Yeah, heres a suggestion...NEXT!
I think you have one-itis. DO a search on it to see if you do. It's over with this girl. Just get over it. I didn't even read the whole thing but I can tell you have one-itis because:
1) She's from sophmore year.
2) You talk about her too much.
Just move on. There are plenty of girls just go get them. Stop playing these games, it's not worth it!
Good luck and keep up the good work!

There are mainly just a couple small reasons why I have "one-itis" with this girl:
1.) I don't really know too many girls. I'm improving my game, but I still don't have much to work with regarding girls at my school. A lot are definately attractive, but a lot are also airheaded sl*ts - our school kinda has a rep for it.
2.) I know I can hold a conversation with this girl - again, unlike the airheads. Our school has a lot of girls that party and have s*x all the time and don't really have relationships. I still want to stick to my morals and keep combining my DJing with what I believe in.
3.) The girl still talks to me a lot. I try to keep her out of my mind, but she's "there" and hte whole cycles replays itself.
But again, I agree with you. If Homecoming wasn't a little over a moth away, NEXTing would definately be a lot easier. Also, at the point where it's going down (as in bad), it's NEXT time!
I'll see how this plays out. Thanks.
It's funny you say that...I didn't even see her today lol. My school has a rotating schedule (classes roate in order) and likely due to this, I didn't even see her today. So I guess that's a good thing.Originally posted by bluelemond
If you really want her then DON'T see her. I know it sounds weird but that's the best thing for you to do. Search "the silent treatment". It's probably the ONLY thing that MIGHT actually get you this girl if your really want to.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
I actually used it today, and I get at least another "silent" day due to the weekend. I think the one thing I did today was give a quick hey, after I saw her waving to me (she was stright ahead as I turned a corner).Originally posted by bluelemond
Is the silent treatment working? How is it going? Keep us updated.
