You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?
Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.
One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.
Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
Natural states are powerful, you should be able to close 90-95% of the time.Micheal Moon said:I agree with GQ confidence, its just about being in a natural state. I had a really good cold approach yesterday and number closed a cute Middle Eastern girl. I was actually not even paying attention when she sat down beside me (on the bus which I take occassionally).
It was only when I got the IOI's that I noticed her. Trying to get eye contact, playing with her hair which I notice girls do subconsciously and they don't even notice it I think. I just escalated it and started the convo from there.
I was just relaxing (and actually felt a little drowsy from some allergy meds I took).
They do it because they're not interested. It's actually pretty simple. Most women who are interested, are going to make it AT LEAST somewhat obvious.Jitterbug said:Congrats edger, you've finally realised that women do things that make no sense!
Get some female friends to enlighten you on some of the stupid things they do to NOT make it obvious for guys they have a serious crush on.edger said:They do it because they're not interested. Jitter has it.Jitterbug said:Get some female friends to enlighten you on some of the stupid things they do to NOT make it obvious for guys they have a serious crush on.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Yeah, I'm sure these things happen, but in the greater majority of cases, I highly, highly doubt to the greatest degree that this is what's happening. Again, most of the time I don't get any IOI's whatsoever...I highly doubt a lot of these women who aren't giving me buying signals, "are just acting this way because they're really interested, but playing it cool". If anything, it's gotta be a very, very small percentage of women who do this. It's silly and pretty delusional to think otherwise. Sometimes you have to look at the real picture. The Grue said:Classic scene from Woody Allen's Manhattan
Amanda: I've had a crush on you since we met. Couldn't you tell, the way I was ignoring you?
That's your own low self esteem talking.Willis said:i dont think i ever get IOIs...i think its because i dont have goodlooks or somethin...all i get is a regular look...
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
