"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Ok, here's my situation. I'm 27, getting a divorce from the woman I was with for the last 6 years. I spent the last 6 months couped up in my basement playing video games and drinking alot. I am getting over everything and am ready to get back in the game. The problem is, I have no idea where to start. Within the last month I've been trying to pick up women, but it's not working so well.

I tend to think I am a decent looking guy, a bit on the bigger side, but I am working on that (lost 30 pounds in the last 3 months, would like to lose another 30-50). This is the least I've weighed in 7 years. I think dress ok. I usually go out wearing nice jeans and a decent shirt, clean shaven, close haircut (every 4 weeks), keep the unibrow taken care of, and smell nice. I just have no luck. One of my problems is, I get really nervous and can't carry on a conversation for more than a few minutes.

Basically what I need is some advice. I don't do the whole "club" scene. I like go to neighborhood bars. The bars we go to have a nice selection ladies in them, they just don't ever look at me. What can I do to change this. I have alot of confidence in myself except when it comes to talking to women.

I know if they say no, it's not a big deal, but, I still can't do it.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Firstly, re the DJ Bible - find the link on the bottom of the page.

after you have done that, come back and start asking questions.

Link doesn't work. Know anywhere else it may be at?

Losing that extra 50 will do wonders, both for the looks you will get and the confidence boost which will bring more looks.

I'm a few weeks in and have dropped about 5 lbs. I want to drop another 4 by my birthday in a few weeks, and by the end of the year I want to be pretty well ripped.

I just have to lay off the vodka a bit.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

My lawyer advised me to wait until after the divorce before hooking up[no ammunition for her] Unless you don't have anything to lose, you have bigger problems right now than no sex. Figure about a year from the divorce date before you are really ready for more than sex. Women are OK with just sex,you may not be[that will show up in your approach]
