I think it's good. I'm cool with what anybody does, even if I don't believe in it all.

But try and have the calibration to see that most 'community' guys are extremely nerdy. You want to be doing mystery method, AND becoming a cooler person. Most guys come in to the community and just become creepy, and annoying.

Try studying juggler method, and mystery method, blend them two.

Different people have success with different things. Their personal experiences mean nothing as far as your success.

In spite of what others have said, you don't have to be Mystery to use his game. You shouldn't try to emulate any person while you are trying to apply their methods, anymore than you have to buy a wheelchair if you wanted to learn Physics or cut off an ear to learn painting.

Nothing will ruin you if you maintain the following outlook:
"Give everything a fair shot. Use what works, discard the rest".

All you have to do is be happy without women, which is honestly easier said than done, but it's the point the entire community is leaning on right now.
I recommend you pirate RSD's The Blue Print (audio only) and wake up to 'your higher power' and all that mumbo-jumbo that seems to help.

I started out with Mystery Method, and very quickly concluded that it's bogus. MM is based on creating an avatar(alternate personality) and then slip and out of it. It accomplishes nothing because it solely drives on roleplaying.

Being a DJ comes down to improve your personal skillset in life. You work on yourself, improve your life in general, and not just when you're your avatar. This requires more effort, but in the long run, it will yield much better result. I pull girls based on who I am, even when I'm having a sh*t day, instead of with MM, where you pull nothing when you're having a sh*t day because your avatar isn't as good as usual.

Read some of the MM material, esp. the stuff on body language and kino is good, but learn to sieve through the bullsh*t material.

It certainly seems to work for some people. I've read the book and there were some useful pointers but a lot of those canned routines just don't seem congruent with my personality. I've developed my own routines.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Gunwitch method. It has worked for me and I have seen it work for other people as well. It's much simpler and focuses on achieving the right mental state. Once you have accomplished that, the rest just flows naturally.

Fvck methods. I use to be really into MM, hoping it would help me. It helped a bit with approach anxiety at the time, but it didn't really change me as a person, and I slipped back into my bad old ways. Just putting yourself out there, being a self respecting man (not a chump who gets walked all over), getting experience is what you most need.

I think MM has some funny witty lines. I pull some lines from there and it always gets a good laugh. I'm not into roleplaying so I not a big fan. But I'm sure there are still some important things you can get out of it.

i came up on the mystery method when i was living in china. i had a great confidence in the product because i was an american -chinese and using some american lines would be like nothing they have heard before. the material worked....every little thing helped... but what really saved my ass (and i still use them to this day) are the screening questions. IOI-IOD .... the thing is it wasn't really myself. so once the girls found out who i really was they ran away. but at least i got some.

But RSD is a different thing. They try to get you to internalize their teachings. They try to make you BECOME a man of success not do the tricks of a successful man. Its almost no-method. They mostly teach you inner game. They lead to you to a path which helps you become good in general social interactions.

Take this advice from a guy that tried all the schools.
