"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

So yea, I'd been seeing this cute blonde chick...3 years older than me, though recently divorced from 10 month marriage, she seemed cool enough to try something out with. Anyways, we rushed things along and shes temptin me to ask her to be my chick (mistake #1) so I do, then she becomes my gf. this was about 2 weeks ago or so.

Fast forward to today, she tells me that she had a talk with her best friend (who i kno as well) and she thought that it would be better if we would be friends...in her words, "well not friends but like it was back on the first date..not friends, but not in a relationship either". Her reasoning being that she feels that she hasn't been able to get to know me...

Anyways, what do you think I should do? She told me "I really like you alot", but that when she had gotten married she had rushed the relationship and found out that she didn't know the guy afterwards and thus she doesn't want to rush this...which I agree with, it gives me excuse to holler at other chicks while hollerin at her as well lol...but I'm gonna back off on making out and ish, I don't know what else I should do really...any pointers/advice? Thanks

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
