Sup guys, this might come off really stupid but whatever.

I went on a date the other evening with my new girlfriend...before it even started I was considering kissing her. Well after dinner she took me to a lake as it was getting dark (the restaurant was on her side of town so I wasn't familiar with stuff like that). We were in a hyper mood (more so than romantic) but I thought "dang this would be a great place to kiss her."

I did not kiss her. Reason was my breath smelled like @ss...we had pizza earlier and I didn't have time to pop mints because she stayed literally by my side. Please don't tell me to get mints because I definitely had them, and I eat mints all the time...but I figured eating them in front of her (and offering of course) would've given away what my intentions were...and I'm paranoid about ruining surprises.

So just to get a feel here (so I know in the future)...if a good kissing opportunity comes up and you have bad breath...do you still kiss her??

Chances are, unless you start making out it won't matter. If it's just a short 2-second peck on the lips, there's no way for her to tell. I'd advise having a minty breath if you do plan on using a bit of tongue though.

you rather not pop mints in your mouth because shes by your side and u would give away your intentions...and your intention is...NOT TO HAVE SMELLY BREATH, wtf is so bad about that.

Offer here one too, she is your GF so why the fudge would you care if she knows you wanna kiss her, it should make her feel more relax, especially offering her a mint too.

Next time after you guys eat offere her gum or mint or what ever.

No I'm quite smart, thank you...but with women YES I'm still a noob, that's why I lurk here to try to get better (and I have...C&F which I once lacked is now my main tactic and got me this chic)...just need to get better with the physical stuff because I've never had an intimate relationship before (nah really!? heh).

And Charm I'm sorry you think kiddies (and me) are morons but I posted this to get feedback from others who can tell me straight up...and that's what I got, so I'm not going to complain. Clearly I was gay but now I know my mistakes and what to do next time...if it comes and bites me in the @ss with this girl...well...you live and learn.

you could have just asked her if your breath smelled bad, then when she says yes, go grab some mints, then coem back and say how about now and kiss her
