I'm 39. I asked my first girl on a date at 16. 23 years of active mating environment participation.
I was a bar guy and off campus random apartment complex parties in college guy. From ages 18-28, I was almost all night game. In 2011, Roosh released "Day Bang", which I read shortly after it was released and became a primarily non-bar approacher guy. As far back as age 22, I had heard of guys going to yoga classes to approach women, but I never did that then. I had heard of grocery store game but never did it until reading "Day Bang". "Day Bang" gave me the foundation to be a non-bar approacher. I never had that foundation and could never figure it out on my own.
The thing about bars is that women never show up to bars alone. If you are a solo approacher at the bars, you need to be quite aggressive and find a way to stand out. Being a soloist can be difficult when you have no one to hang back with while seeking approaches. I have done enough solo approaching at bars and women never questioned me for it. I also never got questioned when I rolled solo to off campus apartment complex parties at ages 18-20 and started drinking. I often knew someone at these parties but sometimes I didn't know anyone. While it is entirely possible to do night game alone, night game is better suited to working with at least one wing. Yes, it is difficult to find a good wing. Being friends with a guy doesn't automatically make him a good wing. It's possible to have a decent friendship with a man and realize that he's a subpar wing. This can happen for many reasons.
There are many things I don't like about non-bar approaching. If you are a lone wolf like me (see avatar), the most ideal forms of game for lone wolves are non-bar stranger approachers or sitting at home in your underwear swiping and texting on some app. Both are pursuits that can be done alone. However, the swipe app environments stinks. Social media DM'ing is less than ideal too. In non-bar approaching, isolation is already built in. It's possible to find a woman alone in a park, on a path, at the grocery store, in a bookstore, etc.
It's socially acceptable to be alone at the park at 2 PM and find a woman alone walking, reading, or lingering.
The other good thing about non-bar approaching is that you don't have to stay up real late to do it. It's possible to do bar approaching without staying up late, but you have to get creative. Weeknight, 5-8 PM Happy Hours and weekend afternoons (often outdoors on patios) are the choices.
My attraction-seduction lifestyle can be lonely when you operate as a lone wolf.
