"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I keep seeing/hearing about this book "He's just not that into you" and how it's "liberating" women. What are DJ's opinions of this? Is this propaganda that will undermine the DJ tactics of being aloof?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

All I know is that the guy who co-wrote it, Greg Behrendt, is one funny motherf*cker.

I haven't read it but from what I hear the overall concept is:

If a guy isn't calling you, is cancelling plans, is acting disinterested, is sleeping with other women... it doesn't mean that he's "complicated" or "very busy with work" or "afraid of commitment" or "intimidated by you".

It just means that he just isn't that into you. so why are you wasting your time stressing over it?

I guess it makes sense and is empowering to women because they stop wasting their time in dead-end relationships (that really aren't "relationships" at all, but they were otherwise too blind to see that). Basically it keeps women from embarrassing themselves by continuing to pursue a man who isn't interested and it keeps women from having nervous breakdowns when they finally realize that a guy they're dating doesn't want anything to do with them.

But mostly I think it's a little overly simplistic.

I don't see it as much of a threat to DJs because I think it doesn't really address men who are just acting "aloof" but rather men who really AREN'T that into the woman. (Truth is, if you AREN'T into her, then you wouldn't care anyway if she stop bothering you).

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
